X-Claim Records was a early 80's punk/hardcore record label based in Boston-area, operated by SSD guitar-player Al Barile, which put out 5 LP's in the period 1982-83:
All X-Claim bands later released material on other labels, but like many of their peers, they tuned down the hardcore-elements and switched to a more rock or metal style. The bands' X-Claim records are usually referred to as their best material.
All the X-Claim LP's have later been reissued several times, with the exception of the two SSD LP's, which remain rare collectors items (only a few thousand pressed of each). The only commonly available SSD material today is the Power record, which compiles material from both the band's early hardcore material, and later, rockier songs.
In later years, Al Barile has used the X-Claim label to release records by his current band, Gage (http://www.xclaim.com/gage).
