War of the Worlds is a 1988 science fiction TV series loosely based on the 1938 radio broadcast and the 1953 theatrical film. The aliens invading earth are from the planets Mortax and Morthrai. A group of specialists, led by Dr. Harrison Blackwood, engage in an ongoing resistance and guerrilla warfare against the aliens. The series was in syndication only.
