I've been reading everything I could get my hands on since the age of 5, so I was very excited to learn about the Wikipedia project. I like the idea of trying to dump everything encyclopedic that I know into Wikipedia, and contributing whatever else I can to make the end result better.
I have a degrees in economics and the mathematics of finance, but here are some other areas I might be able to contribute usefully in:
finance, securities, derivatives, planning, tax law, etc;
economics;
outdoors, camping, survival, hiking, knots, scouting etc;
woodworking;
sales and management;
business;
risk management and insurance;
FreeBSD, Linux other free unices and open source software;
computer security concepts;
cooking;
some travel and a bit of Spanish, though certainly others know much more than I
So far I'm most proud of my contributions to the Risk management and biodiesel articles, some of the generalizations I've done of overly specific article introductions, and helpng a number of articles reach featured article status and adding contructive criticism to others through the featured article candidates process.
