Some call me Tim... (refer to the film 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' if you don't understand :-) )
I'm 29 and currently living in Lausanne, Switzerland. My main interest is in economics, although I tend to absorb information on just about any subject, in particular history, mathematics, geography, psychology and languages.
I discovered Wikipedia in March 2002. I am impressed with the amount of hard work going into it, and the number of well informed people involved. This project has really great potential to grow ever faster as more people are attracted to it. I imagine that people will look back and see this as a really exciting time for the project, as it is so easy to make a positive contribution in these early stages - plus contributing is great fun!
I was there at the first Wikipedia meet-up in London. It was great to finally get to meet some of the other people involved with the project, and Jimbo had lots of interesting things to tell us about. I hope more meetups happen in future. With the way the project is growing, we might start needing to hire out stadiums to fit us all in though...
