Squigs are fictional creatures from the Warhammer universe. The term "Squig" is a contraction of "Squiggly Beast", and refers to a race of half-flesh/half-fungus creatures. Squigs are essentially bouncing mushrooms with massive teeth, a real short temper and the ability to bite through platemail armour. In Warhammer 40,000, Squigs are relegated to wargear; in Warhammer, an Orc & Goblin army can include a maximum of one Squig Herd, plus Night Goblin tamers/herders.
