Q-bert aka Richard Quitevis has been DJing and composing music for 19 years now. Based out of San Francisco, he started playing with records when he was 15. He was influenced by the street performances of San Francisco's hip-hop community in the mid 80's and the music that they were listening to.
He started in a group called FM20 with Mix Master Mike and Apollo in 1990. They were playing a show in New York when now infamous Crazy Leggs saw them perform and asked them to join the Rock Steady Crew.
