In the animated sci-fi series Futurama by Matt Groening, the Omicronians are a strange race of aliens. Omicronians are naturally violent and don't understand the concept of love (other than sex). The planet they live on is called Omicron Persei 8. Their type of government is a monarchy, and the entire race is ruled by the King and Queen, Lrrr (lur) and NdNd (n-duh n-duh).
Their planet is 1000 old light years from Earth (the speed of light was raised somehow, but light that was created before the speed of light was raised goes at old light speed), so radio waves and television broadcasts take 1000 years to reach Omicron Persei 8. And oddly enough the Omicronians love late 20th century television shows.
The Omicronians have attacked Earth twice in the past. Once because they didn't get to see the end of a 1000 year old television show called "Single White Female Lawyer." Fry and the rest of crew at the "Planet Express" delivery company ( the main characters of Futurama) calmed the aliens down by creating their own cheaply made episode of "Single White Female Lawyer." It turned out it was Fry's fault the show was cut short 1000 years ago because he spilled beer on the broadcasting controls.
The second time the Omicronians attacked Earth was when a restaurant on Earth called "Fishy Joe's" started selling a shrimp-like food called "Popplers", which were provided by Fry and the other main characters. It turned out that Popplers are baby Omicronians, and that the planets the Popplers were found on were nurseries.
