Pádraig and Micheál Ó Siochfhradha, brothers and Irish language storytellers, from County Kerry, in Ireland, late 19th, early 20th century. Pádraig's most famous book is the semi-autobiographical comedy "Jimín Mháire Thaidhg", which follows his childhood under the control of his powerful mother, Máire. Micheál wrote a number of comic short stories set in the Gaeltacht, notably, An Corp ('The Body'), which is part of the national coriculum's Irish course at Junior Certificate level. Both men became language teachers following the formation of the Irish Free State.
