New Line Cinema, founded in 1967, is a producer and distributor of theatrical motion pictures (usually called "films"). It is a subsidiary of Time Warner and it operates several divisions, including:

• Theatrical distribution
• Marketing
• Home video
• Fineline Features, specializing in independent film

The current co-chairmen and co-CEOs are founder Robert Shaye and Michael Lynne. Recent New Line releases include:

• The Lord of the Rings trilogy
