Michael Kinsley

Michael Kinsley (born March 9, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan) is a veteran American political journalist and commentator, currently serving as Editorial and Opinion Editor at the Los Angeles Times (since April 2004). He served as the founding editor of Microsoft's Slate until he stepped down in 2002 and disclosed that he suffers from Parkinson's Disease.

Kinsley was previously senior editor for The New Republic, and has held editorial positions at Harper's, Washington Monthly, and The Economist, as well as serving as co-host of CNN's Crossfire. In 1999 he was named "Editor of the Year" by the Columbia Journalism Review.
