The Magic Roundabout in Swindon was constructed in 1972 and consists of one large roundabout containing 5 mini-roundabouts. It was an innovative system which constructed after consultation with the British Roads Research Laboratory.
The official name of this roundabout is County Islands, although hardly anyone other than officials call it by this name. It is the subject of a pop song by local band XTC.
