Magic is a music radio and (later) a TV brand in the UK, run by the Emap group.
There are several radio stations named Magic around the country, most of which operate on medium wave frequencies (the exception is the station based in London).
The stations play music targetted at people aged between 25 and 44, with their playlist predominantly consisting of hits from the 1970s and 1980s.
As well as London, Magic has stations based in Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield, Hull, Liverpool, Preston, Newcastle and Stockton-on-Tees.
Following the success of the radio stations, Emap set up a corresponding TV station which is available through satellite and digital systems and plays non-stop videos of songs established as typical of the Magic brand.
