The Legion of the Damned are a group of space marines which mysteriously appear to help overwhelmed imperial forces then just as mysteriously vanish leaving behind only the destruction which they have caused.
They have no strict uniform armour like the other space marine chapters and instead have a variety of patterns of flames and skulls on their black armour.
Their origin is unknown, some even say that they are one of the two lost original first founding legions of space marines- one which was caught in the middle, its loyalties divided between the loyalists and the forces of chaos.
