Kabulistan

Kabulistan (Kabulistan) was the ancient Awestan name of the country between the range of the Hindu Kush (Caucasus Indicus) and the south of Bactria, with the capital at modern old city of Kabul. To the east, Kabulistan it was bordered by the ancient region of Hindus Vally in the Indian subcontinent. To the South it would be bordered with Sistan or Zawalistan. Early Kabulistan's inhabitants spoke one of the Verdic languages later this would be changed to Awestan languages.


Geography

The boundaries of Kabulistan would include all of Kabul river. Kabulistan is located south of Bactria, west of Indus valley and north of Sakastan (Zawalistan) or Sistan. It is a mountainous country with a moderate climate. Water flows from its main river Kabul River the land is very fertile. Kabulistan was the home of the Aryanic tribes.

History

There is no doubt that Kabulistan was not only one of the oldest civilization. Kabul identified by its reviver has been mentioned in Sanskirt and also Awesta. The region itself holds many temples and religious spots where both Zoroastrianism and Hinduism has been founded as its root. Many Gods and goddess have been said to be born in this land of Kabulistan. No doubt Kabulistan was the height of Hinduism from 1000 BCE to 650 BCE, and turned to Buddhism becoming one of the famous regions of Gandhara art (150 BCE). Kabulistan has been mentioned in Shahnameh. It was it this land where Rustams Mother has been said to be born.
