K-Kauppa is the largest supermarket chain in Finland. It has 1 100 stores in Finland, 6 stores in Estonia and 4 in Latvia. It commands a 35.8% stake in the Finnish food retail market. It retails from tiny village K-Lahtikauppa stores, to city central KKK-Maksimatti supermarkets and to huge giant KKKK-Citymarket hypermarkets. To combat the Lidl chain of discount supermarkets they are opening the Cassa chain of discount supermarkets. It retails the Pirkka and the Euroshopper own labels. Its loyalty card is called Plussa.
It is owned by the large Kesko corporation, that also owns the Musta Pörssi electrical stores, Kespro cash-and-carry service, K-rauta/Rautia DIY stores, VV-Auto/Auto-Span car dealerships and the Anttila chain of homewares stores.
