Judy-Lynn del Rey

Judy-Lynn del Rey (born Judy-Lynn Benjamin, January 26, 1943 - February 20, 1986) was a science fiction editor.

She was born with dwarfism. She was a fan and regular attendee at science fiction conventions and worked her way up the publishing ladder, starting with work at the SF magazine Galaxy.

Judy-Lynn was friends with Lester del Rey and after the death of his third wife married him. After moving to Ballantine Books, the two started a successful science fiction imprint, Del Rey Books. As an editor, Judy-Lynn was known for her rapport with authors and beloved reputation. She was also a noted anthologist (the Stellar series).

She had a stroke in October 1985 and died several months later.
