Jerry Fodor

Jerry Allan Fodor is a philosopher at Rutgers University, New Jersey. He is the author of many groundbreaking books in the fields of philosophy of mind and cognitive science, where he laid the groundwork for the modularity of mind and the language of thought thesis. Fodor is a major proponent of functionalism and opponent of inferential role semantics.
