i'm lovin' it is the English name for an international brand campaign by McDonalds Restaurants.

History of the campaign

The brand campaign was launched in Munich, Germany on September 2, 2003, there under the German title "Ich liebe es". The campaign was highly wide-spread in Germany, just like in all countries.

English language, launched September 29

The English part of the campaign was launched September 29, 2003. The English motto was taken from a pop song by Justin Timberlake. His "vocals" were used in many of the introductory spots.

Trivia

  • Some internet sites made fun of the fact that the slogan was an anagram of "ailing vomit".
