Glare (material)

From TheBestLinks.com

(Redirected from GLARE)

Glare refers to a sandwich of aluminum-alloy-and-glass fiber and is a contraction of "glass-reinforced". It was developed in the Netherlands by Stokker Aviation NV and the Delft university of technology in the mid 1990s. The composite material is used widely in new commercial aircraft to reduce weight while increasing strength.
