Fabrique Nationale de Herstal

Fabrique Nationale de Herstal, more often known as Fabrique Nationale and abbreviated simply as FN, is a well-known arms manufacturer that originated in the Belgian city of Herstal, near Liège.

Weapons made by Fabrique Nationale include:

• The FAL, a 7.62 NATO caliber full size battle rifle
• The FN FNC, a 5.56 NATO caliber assault rifle
• The FN F2000, a modern 5.56 bullpup assault rifle similar to the P90
• The FN P90, an advanced Personal Defence Weapon submachine gun
• The Five-seveN, a modern lightweight semi-automatic handgun
• The Minimi, a light 5.56 NATO caliber machine gun standardized as the M249 SAW by the US Army
• The FN MAG, a 7.62 NATO caliber machine gun
• The MAG58 medium machine gun, known as the M240 in the US.

FN also owns the American gun manufacturer, the Browning Arms Company.
