Dora Carrington (1893-1932) was a British painter.
Dora de Houghton Carrington was born in 1893. She attended a girls' high school that emphasised art and her parents paid for her to attend extra lessons in drawing. She won a scholarship to the Slade School of Art in London.
She was not well known as a painter during her lifetime as she did not sign her work and only rarely exhibited any of it.
She was a member of the Bloomsbury Group.
In January 1932 she shot herself after the death of her longtime friend Lytton Strachey.
