Dat Nguyen (born on September 25, 1975) is the first Vietnamese-American to play in the National Football League.
He was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys with the 24th pick in the third round of the 1999 draft. He played college football at Texas A&M University, where in 1998 he was named an All-American and won the Bednarik Award as well as the Lombardi Award.
In the 2003 season, he started every game at middle linebacker and led the Cowboys with 121 total tackles.
