A Dark Templar (dts) is a member of a group of Protoss in the StarCraft universe.
History
The Dark Templars were banished by the Protoss Conclave from Aiur (homeworld of the Protoss) for refusing to submit to the Khala. They have wandered throughout the far reaches of space for generations, and set their homeworld in the planet Shakuras. This group of warriors are able to bend light around themselves, which renders them virtually invisible. They are armed with modified Psi-Blade technology, and strive to protect their race and the ancient secrets of their tribes.
After the devastation of Aiur, the Dark Templars were forced to forgive those Protoss who once banned them, and allowed their fellow brothers to escape to Shakuras.
