The Dark Eldar are a sinister elvish race in the game Warhammer 40,000. They represent the corruption of elvish beauty, deviating from the search for beauty and peace, rather revelling in piracy and torture.
They are unique amongst the Warhammer 40,000 races in the sense that they do not occupy many planets, but rather one dark city - Commoragh. They are mainly pirates, though are sometimes used as mercenaries. They are the equivalent of the Warhammer Fantasy Dark Elves.
