Coming Home is a 1978 film which tells the story of a handicapped Vietnam War veteran's difficulty in re-entering civilian life after his return from the war. It stars Jane Fonda, Jon Voigt, Bruce Dern, Penelope Milford, Robert Carradine and Robert Ginty.
The movie was written by Nancy Dowd, Robert C. Jones, Waldo Salt and Rudy Wurlitzer (uncredited). It was directed by Hal Ashby.
It won Academy Awards for Best Actor in a Leading Role (Jon Voigt), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Jane Fonda) and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen. It was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Bruce Dern), Best Actress in a Supporting Role (Penelope Milford), Best Director, Best Film Editing and Best Picture.
Coming Home is also the name of a music recording by Tibetan singer Yungchen Lhamo.
