Casablanca Conference

At the Casablanca Conference, held in Casablanca, Morocco from January 14 to 24 1943, United States President Franklin Roosevelt, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill met to plan European strategy during World War II.

The Allies demanded unconditional surrender of the Axis. The Allies agreed to aid the Soviet Union and planned the invasion of Sicily and Italy's "soft underbelly". President Roosevelt presented the results of this conference to the American people in a radio address on 12 February 1943.

It was followed by Cairo Conference, Teheran Conference, Yalta Conference and Potsdam Conference.
