Byblis

From TheBestLinks.com

(Redirected from Bublis)

In Greek mythology, Byblis (or Bublis) was a daughter of Miletus. She fell in love with Caunus, her brother. He ran away and she followed him through much of Greece and Asia Minor until she finally died, tired and sad. She was changed into a spring.

Ovid IX, 450.

Byblis is also the name for a small genus of carnivorous plants, sometimes termed the 'rainbow plants' for the attractive appearance of their mucilage-covered leaves in bright sunshine.

199 Byblis is an asteroid.
