Bsharri is a small Lebanese village. It is located on the north of Mount Lebanon. Bsharri is just under the Cedars forest and is the birthplace of the famous poet, painter and sculpter Khalil Gibran.
During the Lebanese civil war, Bsharri was a bastion of Christian resistance, as their leader, Samir Geagea, was a Bsharri native.
Today, the village is located in a highly touristic zone (Kadisha valley, Cedars forest, Ski resort, Bka'kafra...) and relies on the tourism industry to survive.
