Bob and George is a sprite-based web comic that takes place in the fictional universe of Mega Man (which is known as "RockMan" in Japan). The comic is rated PG-13 (though by the author and not the MPAA themselves). It is written by David Anez, age 23, a full time graduate student who lives in South Dakota. The comic first appeared on April 1, 2000.
The comic's plot is full of epic, world-saving battles and an inordinate amount of time travel as well as lots of ice cream. Random dimension-shifting and instances of overly sarcastic robots are not rare as well.

Main cast
- Mega Man - he is the main star: his primary mission is to destroy the evil robots and stop Wily; his secondary mission is to be an idiot.
- Proto Man - older brother of Megaman; considered a strategic fighter and one of the coolest characters in the comic.
- The Author - the (nearly) all-powerful one that made the comic, often apearing to see how things are going, but trying not to get directly involved in the story. See fourth wall.
- Bob - the evil younger brother of George, the alter-ego of Napalm who has the power of fire, and is scared to death of pokémon.
- George - the good older brother of Bob, who is a bit stupid, the alter-ego of Blitz who has the power of lightning, and loves ice cream more than anything on earth.
Secondary cast
- Bass -An even bigger idiot than Mega Man, Bass is a Mega Man copy made by Dr. Wily.
- Roll-Dr. Light's former housekeeper, she now enjoys blasting the crap out of anything that moves.
- Nate-A yellow demon that once tried to kill everyone, Dr. Light turned him into a humanoid-looking Yellow Demon prototype N4-T3. Everyone calls him Nate. (N4-T3 = Nate in 1337 speak)
- Chadling-A purple demon that can become a Slash Man recolor, he loves ice cream as much as George, and he used to work for Mynd.
- Mega Man X-Dr. Light's last creation, X is a super-advanced robot that can think for himself, star of the Mega Man X games.
- Zero-X's friend, he was made by Dr. Wily, and went on a rampage that caused the cataclysm. He was put into a 100-year sleep where he became good.
- Dr. Light-An alcoholic that created Mega Man, Proto Man, Roll, and Nate.
- Ran Cossack-A communist robot that dies very easily and automatically comes back thanks to an instant regenerator, he was made by the daughter of the bad guy (Dr. Cossack) in RockMan 4/MegaMan IV. He is a well known fan character in the Bob and George community.
- Mike-Mynd's former minion.
Villains
- Dr. Wily-The bad guy from the Mega Man games.
- Mynd-A Sigma-lookalike from another dimension and godmoder extrordanaire.
- Helmeted Author/Fistandantilus, A dark gray/Sephiroth-haired Author that wanted to kill everyone by removing the helmet and body The Author gave him as a restraining device. The Author kicked his ass in less than 5 minutes and put him back in as a helmeted guy that makes fun of stuff under the blurb The Author writes below his comic.
- Ninja Ned and Nigel, Ninja Ned is an evil version of Mike who has Mynd as a minion. Minion Mynd is called Nigel.
Other characters
- Rockman - The Mega Man from another universe(the japanese game universe), he is not an idiot in any way.
- Roll - Rockman's kind housekeeping sister. (Killed in Alternate Dimension by Bob)
- Dr. Right-A kind scientist whose Elmer Fudd-style accent(L's and R's sound like W's) was inspired by the dub of RockMan 8/MegaMan 8.
- Dr. Wiley- A competent scientist.
- Forte- Bass' counterpart, who is both smart AND evil.
- Sniper Jed- A Sniper droid who Bob spent a great deal of time torturing, since he really hates people named Jed.
- Alternate Mega Man and Bass- Geniuses from another dimension.
- Alternate Proto Man- A stupid robot who is like the Megaman from the actual dimension, but a little more crazy.
- Alternate Bob- A non-homocidal, homosexual oddball. Currently in the BnG dimension's past, acting as Dr. Wily's redecorator. Also possibly the also-homosexual Top Man's partner.
- Alternate George- Killed almost everyone, and had his eyes pecked out by alternate Beat.
- Alternate Beat- Liked to peck the eyes out of Alternate George
- Rush- Megaman's dog and trusted sidekick, Rush has played minimal parts in some storylines. Rush was given the ability to speak by Megaman when he went back in time, but not many characters know that.
- Treble - Bass' dog has appeared on several occasions
- The Yellow Demon - Before NATE became good, he was the yellow demon- a troublesome foe that can be seen in earlier issues
- Tango - A green feline robot that is the object of the dogs' (Rush + Treble) anger
- Veemon - A forum and chat room user that appeared three times in the Helmeted Author Quips.
- Liss - The Author's girlfriend who appears at parties every now and then.
