Belmont University is a private, coeducational, comprehensive university related to the Tennessee Baptist Convention. It's the second largest Christian university in Tennessee.
The school has very close ties with the country music industry, and has a well-regarded program in recording industry management. The name of the school's basketball arena, Curb Event Center, also reflects its ties to that industry; the arena was named after its principal donor, country music recording executive Mike Curb.
