Amado Guevara

Amado Guevara (born May 5, 1976 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras) is a Honduran soccer player, who currently plays in Major League Soccer for the MetroStars. Guevara joined the MetroStars from CD Montagua in his native Honduras before the beginning of the 2003 season. He is a focal player for the MetroStars, orchestrating the team as a central midfielder, as well as for the Honduran national football team, for whom he had made 87 appearances and scored 18 goals as of September 2004. He was named the tournament MVP after leading Honduras to a surprise third place finish in Copa América 2001.
