Against the Grain is Bad Religion's seventh album, released on November 23, 1990.

This is the last album recorded with drummer Pete Finestone who left in 1991 and replaced by the next drummer Bobby Schayer shortly before their 8th release, Generator.

• There seems to be some confusion as to the release date. The year 1991 is stamped on the tray card on the 2004 re-issued version and they also stamped it on also on a couple of websites. But others for 1990 was better like allmusic.com (http://www.allmusic.com/).
