Ace Lightning is a morning children's television series that combines computer graphics and live acting. It is produced by the BBC and distributed through DIC. The story is about the video game character Ace Lightning who comes to life and a teenage boy who is a British immigrant who plays the game. Usually, the episodes have a background message about heroism, friends, and so forth. Although the series is set in the United States, it was filmed in Toronto, Ontario, and features mainly Canadian actors. It is shown in the United Kingdom on BBC, in Canada on CBC, and in the United States on UPN.
There are Ace Lightning video games for the Playstation 2 and Game Gear Advance.
