The Ace Combat series of games are arcade style flight sims made by Namco.
Ace Combat, Ace Combat 2 and Ace Combat 3: Electrosphere were released for the Playstation. Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies and Ace Combat 5 were released for the Playstation 2.
In Europe and North America, Ace Combat was known as Air Combat. In Europe, Ace Combat 3 did not have the subtitle Electrosphere. In Europe, Ace Combat 04: Shattered Skies was known as Ace Combat: Distant Thunder.
Air Combat was one of the original 6 games on the Playstation platinum range and Ace Combat 04 was voted one of the best games on the PS2.
