In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the aarakocra are a race of bird-like humanoids. They first appeared in the Fiend Folio (1981). They have since been revised and adapted to many further campaign settings in the D&D game, including the Forgotten Realms and Dark Sun.
