Division Patch
This Allied unit was part of General Wladyslaw Anders' 2nd Polish Corps which participated in the Italian Campaign (1943-1945) as part of the British Eighth Army during World War 2. Notable actions include the Battle of Monte Cassino, Ancona and Bologna. Also known as the 3rd Carpathian Infantry Division. Disbanded after the war, most soldiers chose not to return to the new, Communist Poland.
